Ghost in the Shell - Mamoru Oshii
The 1995 anime cult classic, that was a huge influence for the Wachowskis when creating The Matrix. Visualy amazing, with a really complex detective story, on the clash between humanity and technology. But hey, there’s a lot of male gazing going on in this one.
